The salty dreams
People of Granada

¡Hasta luego Nicaragua!

After almost two weeks at Buena Onda Beach Resort we decided to leave the coast and travelled to Granada. Granada is the third biggest city of Nicaragua and definitely a highlight on our trip! The colonial city at the foot of the volcano Mombacho was highly influenced by the Spanish. We fully enjoyed our three days at this lovely place. The streets and houses are so colourful, a tasty tidbit for your eyes!

To discover some more empty beaches and waves we drove up north to a small village called Aserradores.  We found several truly beautiful beaches and waves. Unfortunately this place is not really fameless, so sharing waves is quite common. Nevertheless we had good times over there!

The last four days of our two month trip we spent again at Miramar Surfcamp in Puerto Sandino. This is certainly one of the best places for surfing in Nicaragua and was a good ending of our trip.

Summing up we can say we had an amazing trip in Central America and scored good waves, howling monkeys, mind blowing volcano views and fast horseback rides. We met inspiring new and old friends from all over the world. Definitely good times! Now we are back home and trying to get used to everyday life – quite tough! Looking forward to explore more of the world together…

Stay tuned for an upcoming short movie on Vimeo.
